SCORRA needs your ideas, your insights, your connections, your time, your passion for the sport, your involvement in 2017!

In 2016, our 10th year as a club, SCORRA’s membership has grown to well over 1000 members. It is truly amazing the skills and connections a group like ours has collectively. Whether you have a few minutes or a few days to offer let us know so that together we can make the next 10 years of riding in Simcoe County even better.

Here are just a few of the areas where we need you in 2017, however you may be able to help in ways we haven't even thought of yet, so don’t be shy and give us a shout at info@scorra.ca.

Adopt-a-Trail – We need Trail Leads and volunteers to work on our Adopt-a-Trail crews (Wildman, Hendrie, Orr Lake, Baxter, Brentwood/Lawden and Phelpston/Coughlin) to maintain/enhance existing trail areas, or if you and a group of friends would like to build new single track trails we have a few of those projects in the wings as well. Being on an AAT team is a lot of fun...some teams have custom t-shirts, tools are all provided, the cameraderie with other riders is fabulous, and most teams have team-only rides and gatherings. Teams that build new trails are also the first ones to scrub in and ride the new trail! A few hours a month is all it takes and nothing beats pride of ownership and the feeling of riding on trails you had a hand in building or maintaining. New Trail Opportunities and Connections – Know private land owners or have ideas regarding how to connect/expand our trail network? Please contact our President, Brad Obee.

Trail Stewards – Like to ride, talk to people, and share information? Being a trail steward may be right up your alley. Trail Stewards are first-aid trained (SCORRA will arrange for training if you need it), and patrol the forests and trails, educating people on ride requirements, interacting with other forest users as SCORRA ambassadors and reporting on trail condistions and issues.
